Since I am unable to snap to group, as noted in other post, trying to ungroup and put all items on a separate layer so that I can select by layer. Now having an issue with that layer not showing up in selection mask.
Example:
Layer structure is top level SUPPORT with sublevels TRACK, CARRIAGE and SAWFRAME. SAWFRAME layer was just created and does not show up in WINDOW, SELECT MASK. It shows SUPPORT, TRACK and CARRIAGE but does not show SAWFRAME. Tried saving drawing, closing and re-opening but still does not show.
Any thoughts? Thank you in advance.

If you create top level layers you can select by layers through the Window, Select Mask. It seems that creating sub-layers it does not seem to work in version 1166.
