Hi

is there a way to subtract an imported STL from a volumebody? I need the negativ form.
I tried to convert the STL to a volumebody but earned a error message > please have a look to the pictures

Thanks
Horst

If you post the STL file, I'll see if PowerPack Pro can convert it and post the model.

Interesting part Horst,
I quickly put it through PowerPack Pro, and I used a reduce triangle, convert to quads & Mesh to Analytic conversion.
I reduced the triangle count a bit too much, and it became faceted, but it definitely was a solid, and I know Tim will do it better. :)

Many thanks, but Iam using ViaCAD Pro 9 and can't open sfx-fils from Shark. (Punch-file does'nt work? the computer is hanging)

The wheel is part of Hondas motocycle ST 1300 windshield- elevator gear.

@ Tim Olson
The PowerPack for ViaCad Pro 9 is also able to convert this?

>>and can't open sfx-fils from Shark.
You can rename the extension to .vcp.

>>The PowerPack for ViaCad Pro 9 is also able to convert this?

PowerPack Pro is the same add-on for ViaCAD/Shark.
