In the past we could open old files with newer software builds and new files with old software builds, sometimes having to change the file type.

Now we get 'File Error'
"File Build is Newer than Program Build (xxxx/yyy)"

This is a major issue with anyone updating to the latest programs but having a large archive of client files from older program builds, especially when clients want to make changes....

Granted some features were not available in prior software builds; they should just remain as-is, but editable with the new software features.
Conversely, opening recent files using historical software builds is a necessary option since the most recent program builds are not always bug-free.

Seems that these blocks to opening non-matching file-to-software build versions is rather recent. Over the years I've been able to open Shark files using very old ViaCad builds w/o problems.

Can we get a quick fix for this? Or is there some trick available now?
