Whether I'm in 2D or 3D mode, whenever I select a line to Translate and Copy, it doesn't work. For example: 1. Select a line 2. Type in distance to translate in the menu bar field 3. Hold down Option (Alt) + Return/Enter 4. Nothing happens I remember that Shark v7 used to work fine with this simple task. Made my work flow super fast. When it did work, Option+Return/Enter would ALWAYS copy the object the specified distance. Please help.

This has happened to me before. Check the 'Concept Explorer' to see if it did copy, and make sure you enter the distance in the correct Axis Box., and not a distance greater than the visible screen. Larry

Thank you, but yes I've tried those things; CE did not reflect the operation; the distance was in the correct Axis field and definitely within the visible screen.
All I want to do is be able to hold Option+Enter to be able to translate copies the specified distance.
I don't understand because it used to work...
Which reminds me of another problem I had today.. this one was weird – screenshot attached. When I tried to switch from 3D to 2D, this message came up and I could not choose either button (like they weren't active). Whenever I tried to move the box out of the way, a new one emerged as shown. Luckily I save very frequently because I had to Force-Quit to get rid of it.

Hello
Did you enter the value in the Dx,dy,dz fields? Just putting in the distance field will create a line on top of itself.

Thanks Jason, I did but the only time that the object translates after I hit enter, is if I DON'T hold down the OPTION/ALT key. So in other words, it will translate but not translate-copy. It specifically says next to the translate-fields "'Option for copy'. My problem is that it used to do this at least in Shark v7 I believe. I also have Shark v9 and it does not work either. :(
