Hi all,

I’ve been testing out an obj to nurb piece of software and was comparing the results to what Shark/VC knocks out.
So in the image you'll see two cups. These are just standard parts provided in the software.
I've ran cloud compare on it, and I've put in 0.2 as the 'acceptable range' and yet it tells me the max deviation is 0.07?
I'm either so tired I can't understand this, or something isn't quite right?

UG

I wonder if this is displaying inches in the alert even though you are using mm?

It did some time ago, but that was fixed in VC, maybe the fix didn't make it to Shark?

Cheers

Why not pass sections through both objects at the coordinate given and compare the deviation manually? If the deviation is .078, that's obviously lower than .2, ignore the warning because it's inconsistent with the result.

Yeah going to test a bit more later. I know VC has issues as i reported it, but that was the inch conversion to mm business. I'll check some points and report back. You can select all lines it puts in and go to 'verify' and it gives an info box of each line length

Yep it's the conversion thing again. If VC was fixed, was the fix not rolled out to Shark as well? I've done a basic test here. A square 50mm x 50mm. Littered it with points. Moved the face back 10mm, then ran coordinate compare.

The results are attached and you can see that they are in imperial not metric. Will this be picked up here, or shall I do a bug report?

Thanks
