My hard drive crashed on my new computer, replaced under warranty, have a amd radeon graphics card. I reinstalled Shark Lt I am still running the demo I have authorization issues but my main problem is when I drag the mouse across the screen the colored objects turn white where ever the mouse crossed their path. I downloaded the latest driver hoping that would solve the problem but no go. It wouldn't be an issue because of the authorization would it?

Thanks Jim

I have the same on vcp 8. The white color change can be corrected by running in xp sp 2 mode (highlight shortcut, right click). The amd (?) or latest and greatest version (8 vs my old v6) does have a hesitation when you edit an object (line, arc, spline..) This hesitation is noticeable, but not so annoying if you run the amd video drivers and not the windows generic driver.

Is it possible you are running a v7 product on Windows 8?

Older versions of the CAD products are not compatible with Win 8. Microsoft changed some core graphics in Win 8 that causes the problems you describe. Version 8 CAD products should be compatible as we rewrote some of the graphics code to work with Win 8.

Something else we see with Win 8 is slooow video drivers. Microsoft changed how they support OpenGL. If you are seeing poor performance, you need to go to your board manufacture and download the latest. The Win 8 Software Update feature generally does not have the latest so be sure to visit your board vendor site.
