If i just try to open it and I get crash also. If I try New-import--sfx Shark do not crash. I even see your project but Shark cannot pass Reading Kernel Data. Because you project is there than maybe support wll be able to save your file.

I feel sorry for you, but you are not alone! This has happened to me many many times, actually did just a week ago. And I have lost a few designs because all my normally three different backup versions of the job proved to be corrupt when going back to them a year later... And if it does there is no way you can rescue the file. Case is that even if SFX does work as normal and you save every now and then there is no warning that SFX may actually not save a fulle completed file in such a way that it can be opened again. If the file structure is not complete, even the programmers who made the code cant help you out. Believe me, I know.. This will most likely happen whenever the program has used about 2,3-2,4Gb RAM and as you probably know if you get up to 2,7-2,9Gb the program will crash or hang completely. So the only advice to be offered is to keep a constant eye on the RAM used, save your files with new names/ versions every 15 minutes, and then quit and restart the software to flush the memory used, as it never does this by itself while used, and check the file is okay. - Oh, and never ever save a large file after you have done a render, even your automated backup files can be corrupt. This is why we simply cannot get the SFX v9 64bit version software soon enough, and then this 32bit RAM limit problem will be gone! The 64bit SFX v9 beta builds look promising, and lets hope the programmers succeed so we get a stable version out sooon!

Guys, I do after each hour of work a Save as r-1 (r-2, r-3 etc.). After the day I can put some previous files in the trash. That's very secure.

Thank you Guys for the feedback, is hard to be focus on save as different name every time, the best thing is to save after an automatic backup is made, is noticeable when the software do this, this way, it may be able to recover part of the work looking for the last saved file into the backup folder. But at the end, this shouldn't be necessary. Regarding V9, it looks promising, i had been testing and i really like it, print by layer to adobe pdf now are nice and smooth lines, interface still buggy, but seems very crisp, fast, and stable. By the way, today expire the beta 1091, there will be a new beta? Luis G.
