Simple text imports from .ai are OK, but more complex images crash VCP pro V7.
Attached file exhibits the crash problem.:confused:

I am importing from CorelDraw as .ai ver. 8

**** sorry, cannot attach .ai type files on this forum ****

Now, attempting to upload the file as .zip!!!;)
File Attachment(s):
Newest01 Vector Pattern 362.zip (347kb) downloaded 6 time(s).

illustrator to viacad and viacad to illustrator splines are jumbled messes to begin with. Illustrator to dxf, vc to dxf works well...but each translation (vc -> illustrator with dxf/dwg files) adds control points to splines. after a few times they become kinked.
I use both in tandom and find reducing spline points on each opening/ edit is key.
If the attachment works, this is opening your file in Illustrator, exporting as dxf, then importing in vcpro. No crash, nothing sluggish.
why uploading vcp files is a challenge I will not understand.
