Hi all,
I'm new to ViaCad, but until now have been able to solve all my question myself and have gotten quite far in the last few weeks. But something I haven't been able to figure out, which has taken me many hours already. Hopefully I can get the answer here:
I'm trying to remove the long parts that are in the middle of the tramloco (see picture). I want the tramloco to be an open block, with nothing in there. The openings for the couplings at the front and back, which are one with these two long parts, have to stay there. Of course they can be closed and opened again, but that didn't work for me. I've tried to use the Split solid, Trim solid, push/pull, subtract solid, Trim and just deep select and delete, but haven't be able to do it. They are no solids, I'm clear of that, but surfaces, I guess.
Here's the ViaCad file to download and inspect:

I used the remove face command shown in the below video.
http://www.csi-concepts.com/Demo/videos/removeface.mp4 I had to remove two extra holes to make it work which you will need to add back in if needed.

Wow, thanks Tim, that's brilliant. I knew it wouldn't be difficult, you just have to know how. ;-) Thanks for taking the time to make the video.

I'm not there yet... When I now try to make a new hole with a smart polygon, I can't push/pull it, as the polygon is always filled. When I draw a circle, I can easily push it to become a hole and it snaps open. But this circle is not filled. Though I remember in the beginning my smart polygons where open, not filled, or am I wrong? Can I only have non-filled polygons when I choose single line?

I created the holes by making a solid block and then use the Substract Solid tool on the solid. But I still would like to know if a Smart Polygon always will be filled or can be open.
