Here is an example problem I am trying to solve:

1. Created attached "Solid slab" model with series of angled surfaces.
2. Changed object type to "Surfaces"

Now I am trying to place all resulted surfaces horizontally in XY plane, so I can later generate CNC Machine Code for cutting them in laminate sheet.

I can't find the way to do it in Shark?

Any suggestions are highly appreciated.

First of all thats a big sheet 60" X 72". I selected all, Model-to-Sheet, delete unwanted views, delete border and title block. Flatten the view and change the lineweight, using obj. pen, I used .002". Export as .dxf.
I use Sheet-Cam and usually cut individual pieces, which creates the problem of having to draw and mark your pieces one-by-one. I opened your drawing in Sheet-Cam, just to see if this is what you're looking for. I might be way off base on what you want to do. The screen shot is from Sheet-Cam.

Hi Mark,

I currently use VC and there is not facility in there....same with Shark from what you say.

In Rhino I can "unroll" (flatten) surfaces, I believe this would work on your part but I cannot open it to try it;). Checkout attached file by importing the Rhino file into Shark (check the heal auto heal solids box), Then select all items and change display to U&V=1

I would be happy to try your file if you save out as VC or ACIS - Happy Xmas!

Thanks to all for advice. It looks like Rhino can solve a lot of my problems.
