Hi,

I have just upgraded from Shark LTv8 to Shark FXv8.

In Shark LT, polar array copies are associative (which is great!). I've found that in Shark FX they are not.

Is there some setting that I missed? Or is this by design?

I'd appreciate help with that. Thanks.

BTW - it would be great if all the translate operations had a "make associative" option.

hi,
do you mean the polar duplicate tool?
in shark fx 9 (currently in beta) you can make the copies associative (see pic)
in viacad pro 8 it was also possible (see pic)

the copies do follow the original, not vice versa.

Hi Rokoko,
I meant polar duplicates as you've guessed.
Thanks for your reply - it's very helpful.

Hi Mark

The Associative Duplicates check box is only available (Linear & Polar) if the selected object is a solid.

Tim,

Got it.
However, I now find that even though the check box box is not available for a spline or a circle, for instance, polar duplicates of the spine or circle are associative. Which is interesting and obviously useful. A great "undocumented" feature.
