I'm new to ViaCAD and tremendously impressed. I wish ViaCAD had come out 3 months earlier - would have saved me $800 that I dropped for Vectorworks. But (there's always one of those, eh?) please tell me the icon is just a placeholder until a real icon is ready. I mean, just look up there at the top of this page - one of these things is not like the others.

On a more serious note, it would be great if the view navigation was a little more laptop-friendly. Modo allows you to configure the software to emulate the inputs of others, like Maya, 3ds max, and XSI. Modo is pretty nice on the laptop, as it uses the Option key to allow view orbiting, with a secondary modifier to pan and zoom - no need for other mouse buttons.

I would also like to add my vote for .OBJ format import/export.

That's a lot of b*tching for a single Benjamin, but I think this software could be a giant-killer with just a little tweaking.

Too many spotlights on the "V", the colors have faded away.

Perhaps Punch! need to commission the person who did the CU icons to do the ViaCAD icon.

I could not see that anymore...
so I took the thicken solid icon and made one for VCad.
Feel free to use it if you like it.
