Hello

I often run in to the problem, that a part i have designed extrudes perfect but when i change it it will not. Then it only extrudes the outline or the inner parts. When i redesign the complete part it works again. I have lost hour's with this redrawing parts so that they will extrude again. Can some one please have a look at the drawing and tell me what is wrong with it. Thanks

pzf.vc3 is the original part
part.vc3 is the changed one which does not extrude correct.

kind regards
Martin

I opened your faulty file.

It seems your holes and one or some of the lines are not in the same plane although they appear to be.

Do a Project Curve to Plane by selecting everything and then you can extrude without problem.

This reminds me when I first starting using the program. Check the work plane in snaps, that helps.

Hi Martin

It appears that some of the curves are slightly out of plane. If you project to z=0, it extrudes fine. I'll investigate into whether I can auto project if everything is within a certain tolerance.
