I have a 3D model and use M to S to produce a 2D drawing.
The M to S shows a lot of hidden detail, some I don't want to show so I can delete it. If I want to add some additional lines though I find some of the editing will not work, e.g trim.
Looking through other posts it looks like there are issues with M to S.
Is this a known issue or is there something I do?
Can it be converted into a standard 2D drawing to enable editing?

Now later in the day.
I am wondering if it is indeed possible to produce a decent drawing. Not using draw view allows me to use the modify tools OK but I cannot snap to hole centers now.
I have discovered a work around, if I need to dimension between two holes, I can draw another circle over the existing ones using 3 point circle, dimension to this then delete my new circles.
Am I missing something, there has to be a better way?

You can flatten the drawing to get a 2d drawing but you lose all association with 3d model and circles are polylines with no center points

In the model to sheet you can change the views to a render like flat and the hole center points will show so you can dimension then you can switch view back to polylines. also can use the explode edge tool on solids to get circles and arcs.

You can also get circles and arcs with the cut section tool to create a 2d of a 3d face still have to work around a little.

This was a timely post. I had mistakenly thought that "Flatten Draw Views" would also send ALL objects to a single layer and reduce file size. After trying it, I discovered it does not do that. Then, after seeing your post, I realized I could just select all of what I want retained, then send it to one layer, and delete all the other stuff I don't want remaining, and then purge history and deleted items.
