The drop down menu in render to file is totally strange. The drop down says "curvature" or "direction" . Yesterday it said something else.

I have attached some screen shots.

Sorry if this has been mentioned before.

Hello Art

It looks as though your strings files are either from the wrong version or damaged? Give these a go...

All the best
Nick

Thanks Nick, Looks like my strings are fixed. Is this something I should keep a copy of for when things start going haywire?

BTW. When I set dynamic shade to flat ( or anything) I still get just a wireframe when I use the viewball. Is that a problem with your setup? (the new strings did not help this problem)

Thanks Much (again!)

Hello Art

No problem. There's no need to keep a copy of Strings files as they are replaced with each new build.

I think the problem you encountered was that you patched the first build of 737 to 738 rather than the second build which was made available within hours of the first. Caused all sorts of chaos and hopefully is a lesson learned that each build no matter how seemingly insignificant the change should have a new build number.

I don't see the same issue here with shading problems, perhaps it's a result of the 737 build confusion. If I were you I think I would re-download the last full build 737 of Shark FX and then re-download the 738 patch.

All the best
Nick
