What does everyone do with their wireframe geometry after they have created an extrusion from it? delete it? blank it? move it to another layer? ignore it? Mike...

We usually move it to a sub layer called Extra or Geom and make it invisible.

sounds good... I think I'll make a layer called _WF and put it there.

I always make 3 sublayers for each object - one for geometry or wireframe - one for basic solids (keeping history with geometry) - one for finished volume (keeping solid operations history only) On the last one I can remove a part (boolean), and replace it by something else pasted from the second layer... Because it is impossible to keep the complete history tree of a complex work. Whenever you want to repair or stitch you may burn a forest. So better keep the roots and the branches safe apart. I'm dreaming of an improvement. Am I the only one ? JL

I know just what you mean about the history. Thats a good strategy. Does the "main layer" have nothing in it and work just as a place holder?

Yes Patrick, I always keep it empty, it's much easier to toggle layers visibility.
