Once I've got my drawing created, and I am missing an item in a view, I can just do a copy and paste into that view...

What if I have too many items in the view. Is there an easy way to remove the item? Or do I have to delete it, line by line?

Is there a way to hide items in a view by turning off a layer?

Hi Mike

Can you elaborate a little more about what you want to remove from a view? Is it 2d lines, construction lines, or 3d items say from an assembly?

Lets say I created a view of a trailer chassis, complete with wheels and tires.

Now I decide that in order to detail and dimension the chassis, I want to get rid of the wheels and tires.

Do I have to delete each individual wheel and tire line?

Hi Mike

Ok I see what you want

With model to sheet shown
Goto Edit Select All or Ctrl +A

Goto concept explorer
Features
Goto view ie top front side etc
expand the parts in the view
find part you want to remove
rt click
remove part from draw view

Jason,

That's interesting. I would have never found that...

I did notice that it removes the part from "ALL" drawing views.

Also you can't select multiple parts to remove. You have to select each part individually.

But I can learn to work with that.

Thanks...

Mike,
If you want to remove the wheel from orthographic views and keep it in the perspective view, you could flatten that view which then disassociates the view from the original referenced objects.
