Just saw [URL="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ihisz51Qiew&feature=player_embedded"]this video of Alias SketchUp from 1991.[/URL]

Incredibly crude, but it has a tool that we still don't have in ViaCad / Punch - an easily controlled viewpoint and perspective. If it could be done in 1991 with Mac Ci's and IBM 286's running DOS there really isnt much excuse technologically to not implement a decent perspective control toolset in 2009.
