mikeschn posted a very good short demo on how to use constraints and the equation editor in the solid modeling section. He has kindly given permission for it to be re-posted in this section. The screencast can be viewed here.

Jol,
I have a friend, that must live just down the street from you. I don't have his address handy, but I do know he lives in Newcastle upon Tyne.
This is his page...

Ha! :) Yeah where do I begin? Well I personally would like to see a demonstration of the Advanced set of surface modeling tools in action (see attached image). Gotta admit I'm ignorant as to how these are correctly used -I mean they look important enough. Hope this is not a tall order.
This probably might require a new thread.

I was very lucky to work with and learn from the late Doug Jones, an abstract mathematics whiz who had a passion for (of all things) rhino 3D. He was able to convey the basic mathematics behind NURBS surfaces to me (without the math). What I learned from him about NURBS surfaces has helped me plan the construction of surfaces on paper (sketching) first to avoid issues. His lessons were always practical. So, when I look at the icons in most surfacing apps, I can understand some of the process or what elements in particular are the focus of that tool. I am not a genius by any means, I was just lucky to have a good professor. If the HELP documentation is not clear ask this forum specifically, what you don't understand or your thoughts on what you want to do. All the best!

THanks Tem, I have a few questions, but I'll come back in a day or two with them I've had to properly form them.
