Keeping wall styles for re-use (#2477)

I can't find a way of keeping a wall style that I set to re-use later. Each time I open the file I seem to have to set the style all over again. Is this what you have to do?

you could save a section of wall and import it - then Eye Dropper to yours Not a great answer, I know .. but I can't see a better way Hopefully someone else can !

Harrumph ... that's a shame. Let's hope someone else has an idea. I would of thought it was a pretty basic need for architectural CAD.

Select one of the the Wall tools and go to Pen on the Menu without drawing anything first. Change FillPatern and FillColor to your taste and you should be done. Martin.

That keeps the basic fill pattern ok, but it's the "Options" that I want to be able to "save". The options allow you to set the number of components in a wall and the thicknesses of each component. So you could have a "standard" external house wall with an outer brick component, an insulation layer, an inner block layer and a final inside plaster layer (component). And then another "standard" internal stud wall with different component thicknesses. But if you have to build up these types of "standard" walls everytime you draw a wall it kind of defeats the object of the "A" in CAD.
