Hello Tim,
any chance we see a 64bit version with Shark V6? the 2 Gb memory limitation keep happening 2-3 times a week for me now.......

have you thought about saving data in parallel with ongoing work? Having really big models, sometimes its very painful to decide between having to wait for many minutes of interrupting automatic security saving and having to do everything from the save point again - also with big models not a fast thing..

Thanks,
ALBAN

Presumably, Spatial have to do a 64bit version of ACIS before we can go there

By the sounds of it 64bit is Windows only for the time being

I'm pretty sure they're working on it so it may be worth watching their release news

Also of interest .. thread-safe Acis - it sounds like it is now standard and not an additional add-on as it was before. This bodes well for Shark inclusion .. though I'm sure the OSX version of ACIS is also lagging on thread-safe

Broomfield, CO July 29, 2009 - Spatial Corp., a leading provider of 3D development components for design, manufacturing and engineering applications, today announces that thread-safe capabilities are now included standard with ACIS 3D Modeler.
