Running v9 on iMac, all latest levels. I want to keep the icon in the dock but it comes up with this odd icon, which doesn't work when I start it. Any ideas?

Tim replied to that a few weeks or a month or two ago. Apparently, Encore requested he put that in.

On the PC side, I feel latent memories of having seen that "effect" but it was the splash screen being doubled. And that was before 2011. Only thing I could think of it being was either something to do with it checking for installation/activation code validity, or it was checking to permit or disable theming, related to Vista/Win7 graphics. I also sometimes wondered whether it might have to do with my running Win7 in VirtualBox. The version of VBox I'm using doesn't support Win7 being able to theme. I don't care anyway, since I don't need theming in Win 7.

My guess is that the alias is bad (remove from doc and redo alias from app folder) or the app did not install/download correctly.

Weird, as per your suggestion created a new alias, copied to dock and now seems to be fixed. Also been playing around with two screens, second screen for holding all tool bars and a finder panel (makes the main screen tidier). Works OK, BUT if I try to start VCAD without the second screen powered on it won't load. I can live with it now I know, so just a heads up.

I've been running some tests with a second monitor on Mac. I'll see if I can get this to repeat.
