Hi everyone,

How do I get rid the greyed out tab for material in my BOM & Attributes.

I do select my part before & open the Properties table to change the material.

But when I do the BOM Table it does not copy that information onto it.

Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

Hello Roger.

1.) in 3D-Mode (NOT Model-to-Sheet) select Part of interest.
Select "Verify -> Properties" and assign Material from List.
Change to Model-to-Sheet Mode and Update BOM to display
Material

2.) refer to Manual Page 123 and following

3.) have you watched this video Tip: Adding and Removing BOM Attributes (scroll down a little bit) ?

4.) Maybe these videos will help you also ...

Thanks Roland,

I have been successful on a few try but not on all. I guess I do not follow the proper sequences & that tends to screw things up.

BTW, I have no idea what manual you are talking about, page 123 talks about viewports on mine

Uh oh ....

I was referring to the user Manual for Viacad V8 (I use the Build 1003 Trial)
where you find under Capter 15 "Verify" some explanations for BOM.

Roland :)
