I have brought this subject up before, various times. I thought it would of been resolved by now. Instead, changes have been made that, are well, certainly not correct. (IMHO of course)

For me, a closed CP spline should close and be controlled by the input points. Now in Build 852 (current release of VC pro (on PC)) the start and endpoints close on a knot. This is not workable.
In the latest offering of Shark, build 929, instead of the knot, an extra CP is added to smooth the curve, sorry, but this must be a joke, it is unacceptable.

I have attached a quick mov, first it shows how I expect a closed CP spline to behave correctly(Rhino), it then shows the result in VC pro 852, then the result in Shark 929

I did send in a bug report concerning this added CP point to the closed spline in Shark a few months ago, but still this added CP point is added which makes the output nothing like what is wanted.

Hi all,

long time not visiting the forum here. I just want to know if this bug is already fixed, since i would like to take advantage of the current ViaCAD Pro offer?

If so, is there also a trial download link were i can test it out myself?

Best regards
Stefan

The VC Pro offer is V6, build 852. IMO it's more bang for buck than anything else, whether you think this is a bug or not.

Thanks for the reply!

Actually i needed that feature to build Voronoi cell structures in VC. But if it still behaves like shown, then the software is a no-go for that purpose.
