Thanks: 2 times
Hi all I am very new ( green) to cad I am trying to draw a turners cube I have 2 sides completed but can`t finish the other sides .Eg: when i draw a circle on the surface of the cube it bisects it in the middle of it or underneath it > I have been told I may not have my planes set correctly . I have tried just about everything , but apparently except the correct thing, how do you set the planes when you revolve the cube to work on another side?. I know it may be simple for some people who are familiar with cad, but it is doing my head in .Thanks in advance for any help. Regards Brian.

Assuming you're using Punch!CAD, hover your cursor near a corner of the cube and hit C. Workplane axes will appear on the corner and hitting C repeatedly will cycle through the faces that share the corner and the workplanes they feature, one of which will be the workplane you need, and then your circle can be drawn on that face.
