Precise dimensions - Inside or Outside (#2467)

Hope someone can help. Using the architectural wall feature, single wall, I want to know why I can't set precise dimensions, whether it be inside or outside preferred.
I've attached a simple drawing, two single walls, both drawn from left to right, 102 mm thickness. The second wall is angled at 45 degrees to the first and yet I can not set the inside dimension to be precisely 1000 mm. The dimension is recorded as 1000.243 and yet the object info box claims it to be 1000 mm.
Am I missing something here? Any advice appreciated.
I'm using ViaCad 2d/3d.

I'm not sure what is going on. I entered 2000 mm for the inside length, was correctly adjusted, then entered 1000 mm again and presto, the inside dimension is now correctly displaying 1000 mm. There must be a gotcha in there somewhere. Usually, I create a wall, connect it to another wall, angle it off, stop dragging when close to my length dimension required, then finish off with typing in the exact length required in the Object Info box and clicking either inside or outside as required. It's at this point that the dimensions seem not to be in sync.

I'm now confused. I've attached two more files.
The first one shows a separate single wall, correctly dimensioned to 1000 mm in length, not attached to the other walls.
The second file shows the dimensions of the walls when I connect the third wall to the other walls and angle it at 45 degrees. You will note that all the dimensions are now out of whack. What I want is for the inside wall to be 1000 mm in length. How do I enforce that?

Yep, you are using the Wall Center tool, try the Wall Inside tool.

Thanks. Now my question is, how and where do I change this value. I thought that was set from the Object Info dialog box, which I had already set.

HI Steve
When you select the single or multi wall tool, click on the little black arrow and the tool bar will flyout with the three wall types inside, outside and center.

Thanks Jason. Now things appear to be straight forward.
