Bending a twist... Moebius (#4429)

Hi - So I have searched for this - and can't seem to figure it out, so I am asking for help.
I am trying to make a Moebius strip, very simple really, but not...
So, I take a strip, flat but with some thickness, I twist it 180 degrees down the center - so far, so good.
Now I want the ends to meet, so I bend it 360 on the side and my headache starts...
Also tried bending to a line, both a circle and an arc - no luck.

Any thoughts? I'm stuck here.
Ok, this is the best I have gotten - ends do not meet, the look is good - but closed would be better... :-)

You need the advanced feature bend along curve.

Here's a video of a quick way to do one that should also work with more complicated paths.

Even simpler would be to start with a circle and use a one rail sweep solid with a 360 deg twist.

Agreed, Bill. I'm not sure why I made it so long-winded, I didn't even need to rotate the polygon about the Y axis for the purpose of the demo - must've been a mental block :) Martin.

Good call bill. I forgot about the twist on the one guide rail.

Martin, that is brilliant. And you got the degrees right, a 360 twist would not make it moebius... Thanks, that is a completely different approach than mine, and far better. Learning stuff.

One sentence and I learnt so much, the single rail tool and the gripper.
Thanks
