Why does copy/paste create a history free/uneditible acis solid rather than just an exact copy complete with past edits of what has just been copied?

I always wondering the same thing, of course you have the "duplicate part with history" on the right click menu, but, no way to translate history between files, or a simple copy paste should be a default, since that you always have the ability to remove history for the part your want.

Luis, "duplicate part with history" doesn't do what it says either. It's got to be a bug I reckon?
