Time to admit it, ViaCAD's application logo is pretty boring isn't it? Sorry to be so blunt, but it just doesn't entice me to go and click on it. So I designed another (one for normal and one for Pro).
I looked at many different logos and noticed many of the drawing apps contained a pencil of some kind or another. SketchUp, QCad.... well, okay a couple, but hey.... A big V shape against a grid background dosen't do it for me. I wanted to look at something a little more funky and brighter so I could easily spot it in the dock. More to the point, the app logo just doesn't reflect the fabulous job Jol has done with all those tool images contained within ViaCAD. Justice had to be done!
After several designs, the first being in 2D I came to conclusions that my logo had to somehow say "VC" as in ViaCAD, but also hat to contain the main solid primitives, a torus, a cone, a rod and a cube. So after many different designs, I came up with this.
Drawn in ViaCAD 2D/3D, then rendered in Cheetah3D.
