It looks like Autodesk are planning to bring AutoCAD to the Mac again. This should be interesting. I wonder if others will follow (I know that Spaceclaim are pondering too- considering that all of their partners support Mac too)

I would dare say that to help cash in on some momentum, Punch!/Concepts Unlimited should bring VC and Shark and CU to Linux, WITHOUT using WINE. Going without WINE would mean one less reason to use and emulator or similar software. If I could use VC6 or VC6 Pro without going thru VirtualBox and losing 1.5 GB of system RAM to vista, i could use VC natively. I have a 2GB system, and with 3D effects, I can still rotate my desktops nicely and smoothly and play a DVD and run music whilst running VirtualBox with Vista running VC6. And, that means Mandriva Linux is doing this on only 256 or less MB of RAM because i gave VBox 1.5 GB (despite the VBox warnings that the host (Mandriva, in my case) system may not respond if i give more than 50% of system RAM to the guest OS (vista...). Imagine all the graphical power i could enjoy. Pretty much VC6 and Lotus SmartSuite are my only reasons left for using windows. I'd pay $300 flat-out cash for VC6 if it ran natively in Linux. I'd pay $350, maybe $400 if VC 6 Pro ran natively in Linux.
