vicad 2d/3d ver 8.
It would be nice if the hole feature went just a bit further.
ie, c-sink you can pick the hole, c-sink size, angle ect.
but what if you don't know what the size of a standard c-sink is?
for instance, it would be nice if we could choose say a 1/4" hole with a standard 82* c-sink and the hole through the part.
this way once you pick the 1/4" and the 82* angle it would know the rest.
same goes for C-bores.
solidworks has a hole feature that works much like this, Not that I use solid works much but that feature is a nice tool, and vCad is almost there
so Tim, Please add a pick list :)
Thanks
vic

I'll second the square hole (and oblong)- perhaps a polygon, with amount of sides... for those embedded hex nuts. :)

I agree with that. I think also that could be more advanced generator for holes. If this cost more then it could be even added only to Shark LT and FX

Of course it does. Thanks for the tip Z.

However it would also be nice to have a tool where shapes could be predetermined, even remembered in a drop-down list with the same tool, as it would cut down on a lot of work and increase productivity. :)

This is where I use the push-pull feature. I'm still trying to use it more often other than creating odd shaped openings.

Yes a list, that's what sworks has.
so you choose c-sink go to list choose standard angle and size of screw.
the info fills in automatic, it sure makes it easy compared to trying to remeber
what the c-sink specs are on a standard screw.
they also have it for c-bore and tap. i'm no programing expert but it would seem
that if you click a line with info that you could transfere the info to the needed data.

I've been asking for this for a long time. I have a sheet of paper next to my desk with the different hole sizes for shoulder screws. To me it seems silly that every time I make a hole I have to look at the list then enter the different dimensions for the hole. I would like to just save the list and be able to select the saved item. I think a hole wizard would be cumbersome just a saved list is all I want. Well one more thing, I would like to make multiple holes with shift. It seems like I'm usually doing at least 4 holes at a time.

OK,
I'd take a list if we can't get the auto data filler.
so you wouls ie - click a flat head screw once that was done the would be a choice to open up a list that would have all the standard FH screw sizes with
the needed specs to create the hole, and c-sink.
but it would be real nicee if at this point 1 click and the fields would auto fill for you.:)
