Hey JFC
Just for fun.:) Which program did you begin with 26 years ago. AutoCad's first release was December of 1982. I started the Cad thing around 2003 (AutoCad release 12 educational that was gifted to me). I eventually bought Autocad 2004 educational and really got up to speed with that. I gave that to a friend/student and bought the ViaCad because I wanted to use it to make money.
I had my days of frustration like your having now. Being a former AutoCad user It took me a while to get used to all the changes but now I like the program. Different it is, but it's good once you get used to it. Don't throw out the baby with the bath water you'll get there.

Holguin CEADS CAD on an HP mini mainframe was my first venture into CAD drafting. Couple of years later I started Autocad v1.13 if I remember correctly
