Edit->Paste is not the same as Ctrl-V - Bug or feature??

(ViaCAD 9, build 1104)
I have a layer 1 with some objects and a layer 2 that is empty.
I
make layer 1 the "work layer" (with the pen symbol in the concept explorer). select all objects (Ctrl-A) copy them (Ctrl-C), and finally make layer 2 the "work layer" (with the pen symbol in the concept explorer). Now, when I
press Ctrl-V, the objects are pasted into layer 1 (even though "Preserve layers" is not checked in the "Paste options"; this seems to contradict the documentation which says under "Preserve Layers": "If this option is not selected, pasted objects will use the current construction layer. ") do "Edit--Paste", the objects are pasted into layer 2 . I'd say this is a bug.

i have viacad pro 9 (build 1109 english) on mac and both commands (cmd + v, edit -> paste) are working correct with layers.
you could try to get the most recent build via menu: help -> current version

I've downloaded and installed build 1109 on my Win7 machine - and it still does not work (i.e., Ctrl-V still pastes to the layer(s) where the copied (Ctrl-C'ed) objects live, whereas Edit->Paste copies to the construction layer. Thx anyway. Harald M.

I have not been able to get this to repeat. Edit->Paste and Ctrl-V call the same paste procedure. I tested with a simple circle, maybe it's geometry related. What is the geometry you are copy/pasting? Tim

I have exactly the same issue with Shark.
The only way to have ctrl-V working is to click in the window before (then it pastes at the clicked point)...

I can repeat with Shark, unfortunately.
The only way to get cmd-v working is to click in the window before doing it.
Of course, it pastes at the clicked point...

Hi Tim
Cannot get a simple circle to work with ctrl c , ctrl v. However the menu copy and paste work in windows.
