Hi

My english ist pretty bad, sorry!

Since September 26. I have installed the Trial Version of Viacad Pro 9 Mac. I worked a lot with this software and I'm happy with it. Today, I started the software again (trial period 5 days left) but after the successful start, I can not do anything. If I click on a tool in the tool window, nothing happens. If I close the empty document window, the software crashs. Then I realized that a newer Version is available (Build 1109). I downloaded and installed this newer version, but nothing changed.
Is there a possibility to do a clean install on Mac OS X? I really like to buy this software, but now I'm disappointed.

Greetings
Christian

Hi Christian

I uploaded a new beta build for ViaCAD Pro 64 with PowerPack this evening. This has 30 days of beta. If you download, please let me know if you have the same issues. If not it may be an issue with the trial wrapper Encore puts on the product.

Thank you very much, Tim!

But with this new software, the following crash happens immediately after clicking a tool in the tool window:

I think, Viacad has damaged something at my Mac OS X a few days ago, since it crashes many times heavily during rendering.

I now have created a new user on my Mac OS X and l logged in as this new user. Now, the software «ViaCAD Pro PowerPack» does not crash anymore!
Any ideas?

Greetings

Each user has their own preferences. If you can Log in under the previous user, try opening Preferences and click the Factory All option. This will reset the user specific settings.

There is definitely a problem with the settings! After working several times with «ViaCAD Pro PowerPack», the immediately crash has occurred again.
After a «Factory All» in the Preferences and another crash, everything is fine again...

The next time it crashes, could you possibly zip the "com.encore.viacadprov9" folder and send to me?

/Users/tim/Library/Application Support/com.encore.viacadprov9

Substitute your login name for tim in the above path.

I'll be able to install your settings on my machine and debug the issue.

Thanks!

Tim
