Hi all,
I'm about to upgrade my (very!) old Macbook to a new machine, and I thought I'd take the opportunity to upgrade my ViaCAD 2D3D from V8 to V9 at the same time. Last I heard, ViaCAD was available from the App Store, and as I live in Australia, I intended to do this. Unfortunately, a search on the App Store this morning failed to find it. Does anyone know what the current situation is with regard to purchasing from outside the US?

Hi Ian

We recently updated the ViaCAD 2D3D 9 app store build. If you do a search on ViaCAD you should see ViaCAD 2D 9, ViaCAD 2D3D 9 and ViaCAD Pro 9.

Are you unable to process an international online order from punchcad? If not, I'll bring it up with Encore.

If anyone else is aware of international order issues please let me know.

Hi Tim,

Thanks for that; I did find the apps this time.

My only concern with purchasing from outside the US is that I thought (or read some time back) that one HAD to purchase from the app store, as Encore would not directly sell outside the US. I'd much rather buy direct, as ViaCAD 2D3D 9 is frequently available on special for $US75, but the app store cost is fixed at $129.99 (AUD?). This is a big difference!

here in Germany I found it (in my case ViaCAD Pro) sold by through Amazon, for 159,90 € rather than the 229,- € from the app store, however as I want to install it on two computers, the app store still makes sense...

a downside of the App Store might be the approval process by Apple, I bought a few days ago and I got v9.0.0 whilst I believe the punch cad trial was a slightly newer version.
