I have been using the new export directly to dxf feature in 17.5 3D Custom Workshop. When I import the dxf file into ViaCAD Pro 9, my drawing comes in with the incorrect scale. I exported a part with a height of 66.5" from Custom Workshop and after the import into ViaCAD Pro 9 it had a scale height of 548.02". When the file is imported I get a choice for what my unit type is and I have tried inches, mm, and cm. The correct entry should be inches. When I export the file I am not given a choice for units. My drawing in Custom Workshop is scaled in inches.

The orientation of the part on import is 3D with an offset top position. I am unable to do the import with the part coming in at X-0 y-0 z-0 square to the grid.

Any suggestions please.

Andy

Hi Andy

Can you clarify if this is for 3D Custom Workshop Pro or 3D Custom Workshop? I'm only familiar with the Pro version as it is based off the ViaCAD code stream.
