In the recent VC Pro V9, the Z values are negative going up and positive going down. How can I change this back to normal? I don't see anything in settings or preferences that would do this. Also, is there any way to keep X, Y and Z parameters consistent so they don't change based on the view? Typing in a Z value to translate an object when viewed from the front actually moves the object on the Y axis instead. This isn't very intuitive to me, and causes lots of wrong input. It's also not consistent with other CAM programs I need to work with ViaCad. Can this "feature" be changed? Jim

Hi Jim
Nothing should have changed with the z axis where we use a right handed coordinate system (x cross y = z). You can view the coordinate system from any angle. Is this possibly a view orientation issue?
The other possibility is that you have "Use WorkPlane Coordinates in Data Entry" turned on. If this is on, turn it off so that data entry is relative to the coordinate system and not workplace coordinates.
Preferences : User Interface: Use WorkPlane Coordinates in Data Entry
