Hi,

I activated my Shark FX 9 some weeks ago and have been using it without any problems since.

All of a sudden, today, it will only offer to run in the demo mode, and says : "Press "Activate"".

I activated it weeks ago, and, besides, the Activate button is now greyed out so I cannot activate it again.

I've had the same issue with Shark FX 8 recently. I emailed Encore support two weeks ago and have received no reply so far.

Now neither FX 8 nor FX 9 are working on my 2014 Mac Pro.

Could you please help me with this issue ?

It is urgent for me because I cannot do my work without Shark.

Thanks.

Mark

Hello,

I have the same issue with Shark FX V9 here again (it's again because I stumbled over this "activation challenge" from time to time already in Shark FX 8 and it's never been resolved completely )

System:
iMac 27" Mid 2010; 2.93GHz; 16GB Memory;
Yosemite 10.10.2;
Shark FX V9.0.2 (Build 1143)

Thanks,

Wolfgang

Thanks, Tim and Todd, I appreciate your help.

Here is the solution Todd gave me and it worked great:

1. Remove the authorization code from the registration screen, and the register now button will become active.

2. Register the product again to obtain a new authorization code. (You can use your code set 6 times to register.)

if the system (hardware, operating system) changes the node ID based on these parameters changes too and the activation code gets invalid.

changes of the hardware might be triggered by multiple or intermittent used network interface controllers (LAN, WLAN, Thunderbolt, Bluetooth) or external hardware (HDD). Therefore it may already help to toggle between the recent and the previous activation code before requesting a new one.

Norbert

Tim and Todd,

Many thanks for your quick support.
I followed Todd's guidance as well and have been able to activate Shark again.

Nevertheless - Is there any chance to fix the node ID issue permanently? Unfortunately Shark FX is the only software which is showing this behavior from time to time (and I have about 80 apps installed including Apple ones).

Cheers

Wolfgang

Hi Wolfgang

I thought I did with FX 9, but evidently not. I'll go back and revisit the code.

This should now be handled better in 1150+ builds.

Hi Tim,

These are good news - since I have to fix the activate issue again (I did yesterday but after starting the iMac this morning same problem occurred).

Do you have any rough estimation by when we can expect 1150+ builds?
Currently we're on 1147 - which is lacking the powertools.

Cheers

Wolfgang
