Hi, I recently installed ViaCad Pro V7 on windows 8.1, and noticed that there are several graphic glitches that appear mostly when moving the mouse or when drawing. Does anyone know how to fix this for windows 8.1? I already contacted Encore Technical Support, but all I got was a reply indicating I need to buy a newer version, :(

Example of the graphic glitches on Windows 8.1

Microsoft made some changes in Windows 8 that are not compatible with older versions of ViaCAD / Shark, especially logicursor type operations. I recalling doing some work on V9 to address the changes. Unfortunately you will need to either use Windows 7 with ViaCAD V7 or get a build that supports Windows 8.

Thanks Tim,

I guess it is time to upgrade then. I read that there is a new version of ViaCad Pro coming out soon with support for 64Bits on Windows, is this correct? I'm trying to have a better sense on if I upgrade now or wait a little longer for the 64Bits version.

Thanks for the support.

We're beta testing ViaCAD Pro 64 with PowerPack. You can download a copy at:

This might also confirm that the issue your seeing is corrected on Windows 8.
