Thanks: 1 times
I recently was told about Viacad Pro. I'm looking for a less expensive 2d and 3d software. I'm primarily a PC person and have a powerful PC I built. I have a very old Mac Mini as well, but I don't think it would be suitable for compute intensive work. That said, in terms of feature support and reliability, are there significant differences in using Viacad Pro on the Mac vs PC?

Thanks,

Robert

Hi Robert

ViaCAD Pro Mac has the same functionality as ViaCAD Pro PC as of build 1148. Until recently SketchUp was only in the PC builds.

You can try out both at http://www.punchcadlabs.com/page7/page7.php. The PowerPack stuff is not part of the normal ViaCAD Pro product but you will be able to compare the other features.

Based on that I would lean towards the PC.
