hi all i come from inventor, solidwork etc type of cad question is, if i sketch say a rectangle at 100mm by 50mm..extrude it..then decide to change the size of the original sketch can this be done in viacad? of do you just stretch the original sketch to suit? also, does viacad have equations for sketches? [tim, i need to buy your book!!] andrew

Hi Andrew
ViaCAD does not support dimensional constraints & equations with sketches. It does support associativity between the sketches and parts. So if you extrude a polygon (which stores length/width as part of its definition) you could go back and edit the polygon length and have the extruded shape and associated features update.
Managing and editing a complex sketch is probably a good candidate for a video. I've added that on my list for new videos for the masterviacad.com site.
