does anyone know how to extract the pierce points that result from a line passing through a solid OR another way that achieves the same objective?? for example: a cylinder represents all lines parallel AND a specified distance from a given center line. doing things like pipe/tube routing it's necessary to find the piece points where a second line passes through the cylinder............ close isn't good enough for the Shark geometry engine (a good thing) !!

I'd use a box edge to define the line and surface/surface intersect between the box and the other object.

The "Curve/Surface Intersect" tool will set a point where the line passes through the surface/solid. The point may be hard to see, so use the wireframe view and look carefully to see them.
