Does anyone know of a way to keep text visible as the view is changed from the view it's created in? I've tried extruding it, no go. I've tried everything I can think of, as a matter of fact. Maybe it's easy and I'm just missing something. Hope.

Hello
Select the text
Open the inspector object properties then the data tab and select the screen horizontal.

Thanks jdi000. I discovered that when using a text box rather than simple text, there is no such option in the data tab. Still, after swapping the text box for multiple lines of simple text the end result of 'screen horizontal' text is hardly desirable. That the text does not maintain the model's angle of view is distracting to say the least.

Can you explain more what you what to be able to see? If text is on say the xy plane it is visible if I rotate the view. the only time its not visible if the view is perpendicular to the text view as you are looking at the edge of the text.

Thanks for taking the time to help, Jason. I created a new document and new text and it indeed rotates according to the view, which was my goal all along. I removed the text from my working document and replaced it and it also rotated now. However, when I went to change the text to some other text the appearance got garbled, filling in the holes in letters and missing some sections of words, like the dot over an 'i'. I spent so long trying to get text to display properly that I can't afford to keep trying so I'm going to save some sanity and move on without it. I'm using a Dell Precision M6600 with 2GB FireGL graphics card on Win 7 x64 in Viacad Pro (cough) V9. At some point I may try another video card driver but don't have the desire to try that now, it's taken enough time.
