Please excuse if posted in wrong place, but I can't see anywhere else for bug reports.

ViaCAD Pro V9.0.4 (build 1166)

If I group 2 or more 3D objects, it is impossible to use selection to grab any part of the group to move it. Is this known and is there a fix?

In general, although I appreciate the features of V9, it feels much clunkier than V8, is there any way back to V8 until V9 matures?

Hello

Could you possibly have locked the items or group. Select unlock and then select the objects and see it they are then select-able

If its locked you will not be able to select.

Can you just create 2 quick 3d objects and group and post the file?

Thanks Tim & jdi000

I'm running Mac version. ...and I've checked again. If I group two simple 3D objects and check that they aren't locked :-) , they can be moved with the triad thingy, but I can't grab the grouped object by itself to move it :-(

Couldn't work out how to upload a file to this forum (my bad) so here's a link to a simple file with two objects requested by jdi000:

Thanks if you can help.

Thanx Jason for the pointer to checking if snaps turned on, but was turned on. However, you've hit the nail on the head about what my problem is: group 2 3D objects together and the snaps don't work, ungroup them and the snaps will work again.

I also went back to V8 and tried creating 2 object and when grouped snaps work fine. Save the doc and open in V9 and snaps won't work on group, ungroup an it does and as a check go back and open again in V8 and all is still working there.

Maybe I'm being thick, but it looks like a bug - is there somewhere special for reporting suspected bugs?

Hi

I can also reconstruct the error, see the two movies in the attachment.
In Version Pro9 V 1104 it is ok,
but in V 1066 you can find the error.
Also you can't see the complete gripper if you don't activate wireframe.
Is there also a solution to change thickness of the edges from object?
In 1104 its thinner as in 1066

Try turning on "Aways Visible" in the Inspector.
