I have DOZENS of old files that are in the.vlm format that were done with very early versions of this software package. Well, things have changed so much that I can't open them with FX9.1 build 1162.

Any suggestions? I'd really like to recover them.

Hi Gary

We removed the vellum translator when we stopped rebranding the product for Ashlar, which would be v4.

I use VM Workstation with XP to run older versions of many programs.

I use Concepts Unlimited Ver. 2 to work with .vlm, as well as .cu files,
I have many older files and this works well.

I could batch convert them with DraftBoard (formerly Vellum Pro) to the DWG format, just zip and mail them (max. 20mb) if desired.

btw, if looking for a virtualization solution, you may want go for the free 'VirtualBox' before buying 'VMware' or 'Parallels'.

Per Tim's suggestion, I downloaded CobaltShare (freeware). I had to rename the file extensions from .vlm to .vs, but after that I was able to open the old files and export them into a usable format.

Thanks for the help.
