Hi Jim

Sorry, there are no tools inside of Shark that can do this. Importing a PDF converts it into a image file.

On the CAD blog I show how you can convert an image using Adobe Illustrator's trace tool.

But to convert directly into arcs, line, circles you might need a PDF to DWG app.

the PDF format is a meta format which can contain vector data (aka geometry) as well as raster data (aka pixels).

if the PDF contains vectors (which can be evaluated by selecting a dedicated entity instead of a raster blob or simply by zooming in) you can open it in a graphics application as e.g. Adobe Illustrator or the free Inkscape and save as DWG (Corel may work too).

if the PDF contains pixels a previous vectorization is required for being usable in e.g. CAx systems... unfortunately a vectorization cannot create exact data (coordinates, angles) by design sothat creating from scratch is often the better/faster way.
