I can never convert anything.
I'm always given the error: Maximum number of facets is 3000 (solid)
or Maximum number of facets is 2000 when converting to faces.

Is there a work around, or what else can I do to convert something? (ANYTHING)

Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris

>>I can never convert anything.
The default ACIS stitcher is not really intended for stitching general facets and typically behaves poorly. Hence Encore licensed additional technology in PowerPack Pro for mesh to analytic and mesh to curb.

>>Maximum number of facets is 2000 when converting to faces.
This should have be 3000, updated in 1182 builds.

>>Is there a work around, or what else can I do to convert something?
Did you try converting the triangles to quads using your version of PowerPack? This can help reduce the facet count by up to 2.

Spatial is working on the issue with their new Polygon component.

If you want to preserve the mesh's original topography and convert to solid right now, TurboCAD Pro for Windows has the most direct capability that I know of. It can slice meshes into pieces with fewer facets, cap and stitch them to solid, and exchange with Shark/VC with .sat or .STEP, even going back about six or seven versions, which can be had for not much. If you need help, or if you want a service performed, PM me.
