I exported a car body in OBJ format at each of the resolutions and these are the results.

Course = 636kb
Medium = 673kb
Fine = 792kb
Very fine = 1,255kb
Super fine = 24,813kb

From the final quality test between very fine and super fine I would guess that super fine can be reduced by at least 50%.
At that resolution it is next to useless in Shark as it builds up memory real fast and the system struggles with complicated parts, whereas at very fine the system has no issues.

Hi Craig

Try changing your definition of Super Fine with Preferences: Custom Resolutions : Super Fine : Facet Angle to 6. The difference between Very Fine and Super Fine is 7 and 5 degrees.

Hi Tim, the default should be changed as many people will leave it as it is and not realise it is draining their resources.

Yes. But this would change all v9 files with super fine setting so I will need to understand why the two degrees is creating 23k extra data. Would it be possible to get the file?

Which is the best way to send a file of that size?

Hi guys.
I'm not sure if this is the same generator but I find the STL export very erratic
