Hi Art Can you try Verify : Check Object? If Repair is available, try hitting Repair and then try Export to STEP again. Tim

Tim-
thanks for the fault isolation tips! verified everything on the three layers I'm attempting to export and found seven (7) "questionable objects"; three "bodies without lumps" with an error code and three lines?? none repairable.
how do I identify the seven offending objects from the provided "object codes"? hard to imagine what might be wrong with three lines but if I can find them can't imagine they're not deleteable. "bodies without lumps" sound like operator induced artifacts of some sort that also can be deleted if they can be identified/found; need to find them before they can be selected and then deleted.

Hi Art When I submit bugs to Spatial, first thing they check is the equivalent of the Verify : Check Object. If you can send me the file, I will see if I can find out more info. I'm surprised the lines are showing up as questionable, pretty simple geometry. Tim

potentially more useful information for the
STEP export challenge. attempting to export the same file in an IGES format yields another interesting error message: "Model size is smaller than valid box". do users have access to functionality that can locate objects by their object number ?? I'm thinking deleting "suspect" objects may be far more expedient than understanding how invalid objects are being allowed to be created...............

Hi Art This is now corrected in build 1185. The error message was due to a solid that had no faces. Build 1185 now: 1. When creating a pipe, ensures the inner diameter is smaller then the outer diameter. In previous builds this resulted in a empty solid which would fail on STEP export. 2. When exporting a STEP file, we now check that the solid is not empty. To correct in the current version, you would need to delete or modify the inner diameter for the following parts: Part 29665, Part 29667 and Part 29677 Tim
