vcad9Pro win32
i created a helix with draft angle, and then a circle at an endpoint of helix, but when i do 1-rail sweep the solid sweep didnt follow the helix path. vcp attached.

Try putting the circle at the bottom of the path instead of the top. Will look into further regarding placement at the top.

Seems to work on a right view with 'Sweep Perp.' from the top.

does it make a difference that you used SharkFX vs VC9Pro that i used?

CNC_Kid,
I had the same result as you, but when I moved the circle to the other end of the helix it worked. I wonder if sweeping in the same direction as the helix is needed. I couldn't change the direction of the helix.

Hi Craig,
It's Show-Hide, easier for me to show and hide objects.

I don't have VC9Pro, but I think they are developed from the same platform.

its interesting, only because if you sweep from the top it actually does a sweep, but not the expected sweep. this odd behavior seems to only be there when there is draft angle, if its a std helix i can sweep it from top or bottom, etc. it would be an annoyance to have to sweep every rail from its start point if you have many rails created in varying directions as a 1st step in building some CAD work.
